Bloom 1
My amaryllis red, took the lead in blooming this year.
The song ringing in my mind, over amaryllis bloom, was learnt way back in elementary school days, in the ’70s.
Refrain: All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,.
’twas God that made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing color,
He made their tiny wings.
Soon the 40 amaryllis plants of different shades on the ledge white, yellow and the others will follow.
The song quoted, was by Cecil Frances Alexander (1818-1895). She also wrote “There Is a Green Hill Far Away” and “Once in Royal David’s City” a popular Christmas carol.
Bloom 2
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
God made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who doeth all things well.

A thought in my heart this morning.
For the director of music. To the tune of “Lilies.” Of the Sons of Korah. A maskil. A wedding song. My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer. Psalm 45:1-NIV
I love the Amaryllis bloom especially this blood red soon the white, its absolutely gorgeous.
The splendor lasts days and the wonder is reborn in due season.
No matter the circumstances; alone, misunderstood, rejection and even loss, it blooms. In toil, lack of support, through rough times or self inflicted moments, God will cause its flower to bud. A God given beauty, manifested and asking for no returns, at exactly the same time, as he set it out to do.
For us, alone, lack and at times self inflicted sloppiness, I encourage bloom, as he has mandated. The bud never groans, stops to work or labour. Somethings are not for us to react to. We focus on our mandate, no matter what assails. Life is short,
In the morning it springs up new, but by evening it is dry and withered. Psalm 90:6-NIV
You, are bright and beautiful in bloom even through toil pain and rebirth. There have been moments of great anguish and personal hurt. Yet at that time, someone would be so happy to see me. Oblivious, to my hurt and aches.
He made us to be seen and lips to tell, what the Lord has done. For he does, all things well. Bloom!
Bloom #3
I was about to stop at bloom #2 but someone asked me to send pictures of the bud in a picture, when it blooms. There are still a number of the Amarillies in the ledges yet to bloom. I look forward to each one blooming.
Lillies have great lessons in them otherwise we would not see them in scripture. Christ is referred to as the lilly of the valley.
Not all flowers, just as amarillies, are mentioned in the bible. not all mammals are named either. There are, however, great lessons in unnamed nature, which cannot be ignored. Paul to the Romans says, God reveals himself in creation (1:20).
My latest amaryllis blooms, made me set out a bloom parade. However, though Amaryllis blooms for days, eventually, they succumb just like all God’s creation.
Sadly among us as humans, the past couple of years, we have seen among ourselves, the extremes and contrasts of bloom and doom. People have gone, like they never were.
We try to memorialize them but it just isn’t the same. Scripture has lessons;
Psalms 90:6-7, 9 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
In admonishing us, Moses asks God to help us account, guide us to utilise or pay attention to the period and time we have each been allotted, on earth.
Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12
Song of Solomon 2:12 The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
Eventually as all nature we succumb. I can only encourage that we bloom.
Bloom, exhibit the splendour God has given you.
Bloom, use the best in you for his glory in limited time.
Bloom, exploit the God given gifts for the nect generation’s example.
Bloom, for you only have this time, to bloom
